Penn Square Mall is making a push to help get Oklahomans back into the workforce.
The mall is hosting a job fair Thursday to help connect job seekers with retail and restaurant employers.
The mall said it hopes to reach unemployed Oklahomans as pandemic unemployment benefits are set to expire next month.
Governor Kevin Stitt opted out of these benefits early for the state but will now offer a new $1,200 incentive for people to return to the workforce.
The event is free and open to the public from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The mall said it has a variety of positions available. Candidates can connect with employers at the mall’s lower level, center court and at participating retailers.
