Starting on Monday, a new app will offer users the opportunity to go on a virtual journey through the historic streets of Tulsa's Greenwood district.

The "Greenwood Rising XR" app offers users a personal walking tour through the Greenwood district like it was before the race massacre happened in 1921.

Users will be able to use the app to see and hear what Black Wall Street would have been like in its prime.

The app's developer said video, audio and extended reality graphics have been added to enhance the user experience. Users will not only be able to see places that were burned down, but they will also get to hear stories from the people who called Black Wall Street home.

The app will launch on Monday for both iPhone and Android.
