Oklahoma City Police Department Fires Police Officer

The Oklahoma City Police Department fired a police officer after 10 allegations were made against him.

Officer Devin Frazier was fired on May 14. He was a police employee since Jan. 23, 2019.

In a termination letter from Chief Wade Gourley, Frazier was accused of not properly investigating a domestic violence criminal investigation.

On Sept. 16, Frazier was called to an apartment to investigate a domestic altercation.

During the investigation, Frazier used his personal cellphone to photograph evidence, failed to complete a domestic violence risk assessment, did not properly collect and preserve evidence, and was untruthful with his supervisor, according to the termination letter.

Frazier was also accused of maintaining a speed of more than 90 mph with a top speed of 115 mph while driving his patrol vehicle early on Sept. 16 on Interstate 44 where the speed limit is 65 mph and exchanged inappropriate text messages between Sept. 15 through 17.
