Juneteenth festivities begin Wednesday night in Tulsa.
It all kicks off with an advance screening of Questlove’s documentary, “Summer of the Soul” at Circle Cinema. Tickets were open to the public but sold out quickly.
Starting Thursday, you can check out live entertainment, art exhibits, local vendors and food trucks along Greenwood Avenue.
Juneteenth is a holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States.
The U.S. Senate just passed a bill to make Juneteenth a federal holiday.
