Lincoln County Jury Finds Man Guilty Of Child Neglect Of Teen Son

Thursday a Lincoln County jury convicted a man in a horrific child abuse case.

Jimmy Jones Sr. was found guilty of child neglect after his son was found nearly starved to death in 2018 at the family’s farm near Meeker.

Jones took the stand in his own defense during the trial and claimed his son would set things on fire and harm small animals.

The jury deliberated for nearly four hours before returning with a recommended sentence of six years.
