Earlier this week, News 9 told you about an apparent teacher shortage across the country.
A survey from Frontline Education found 2 out of 3 school districts are short on teachers.
That survey showed that rate was higher in cities compared to rural and suburban areas.
A separate study found 1 in 4 teachers are leaving the profession this year, for good. It could be leading to a crisis in the fall.
To get a clue on the issue locally, News 9 at 9 a.m. was joined by Brad Herzer, assistant superintendent for human resources, safety and security at Oklahoma City Public Schools.
