The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a recent Deer Creek High School graduate June 16 in Oklahoma City.
News 9 reported on the death of Toyin Amuda last week. This week, News 9 has learned some of the details surrounding Amuda's death, which the Medical Examiner's office ruled as accidental.
The 18-year-old was found unresponsive at about 2:30 a.m. June 16 in a pool at a home along Villagio Drive in Oklahoma City. According to the OSCO's report, the homeowner's daughter awakened him with the news that somebody was in the pool. He went outside where several people brought Amuda out of the water and started CPR on him until Deer Creek Fire could take over.
Investigators found empty beer cans, an empty vodka bottle, two plastic garbage containers with empty beer cans and liquor bottles. There was also evidence, according to the report, that somebody had vomited in the back yard.
The homeowner told authorities that while there were cameras on the house, none of them worked.
This is a story we'll report on News 9 at 10 p.m.
