OHP: 84-Year-Old Wannette Man Dies, Another Man Injured In Pottawatomie County

One man is dead and another man was hospitalized Sunday morning after a deadly crash in Pottawatomie County.

The collision happened near the intersection of State Highway 9 and Drummond Road in Tecumseh.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash involved one vehicle with a driver and one passenger inside the car.

The passenger, identified as 84-year-old John Retzlaff, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was transported and is currently hospitalized with head injuries at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

Authorities are still not sure how the crash took place or what caused the crash in the first place.
