Helping The Tulsa Police Honor Guard

The Tulsa Police Department Foundation is raising money to send the The Tulsa Police Honor Guard to Washington D.C. in October.

The foundation is hoping for at least one donation of $50 for the next 50 days to commemorate the 50th anniversary for the Tulsa Police Honor Guard.

Sgt. Craig Johnson, an officer killed in the line of duty will be honored during the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in D.C.

Grand Gentlemen Nonprofit Making A Difference

Grand Gentlemen is a local nonprofit designed to uplift, encourage and inspire young men of color. 

The group's latest venture was their Man of Honor event. They awarded $1,000 scholarships to 10 high school graduates. 

Next year’s plan is to extend the scholarship program to the Tulsa area.

They are also looking for positive men as well as sponsors for the program.
