The family and friends of an OKC teen who went missing on the Fourth of July are still searching for answers. While police believe she is dead, her body remains missing.
Dozens gathered tonight to spread the word about her case.
"This came out of nowhere," said Sonia Gonzalez, a family member. "One minute I was at home, the next thing you know I'm getting messages."
17-year-old Hailey Gonzalez was last seen at a party on July 4th and though her body has not been found, she is presumed dead by police. Her disappearance left family and friends shocked.
"She was an outgoing person," said Adriana Mendoza, a family friend. "She was so happy always with a smile, always trying to make you laugh."
According to reports on the night of her disappearance, Gonzalez was partying with friends at Eduardo Bonilla-Lopez's home.
Reports show she reached out to a friend asking for a ride and sounded scared. The reports go on to say when her friend arrived at the home, she was nowhere to be found.
"We have no idea where she would be," said Gonzalez. "Where they would put her, where any of this would have gone down."
Records show Bonilla-Lopez FaceTimed a friend that night and asked for help dumping a body.
The video showed Gonzalez with a gunshot wound to the head, attempting to speak. The following week, Bonilla-Lopez was arrested on a murder complaint.
Now, the search continues for Hailey.
"It's been already like a month almost," said Mendoza. "We haven't found her body, it's been hard on us."
