Authorities said a man is in custody in connection with the shooting deaths of two women Monday in Dewey County.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was requested to assist the Dewey County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation after Angel Boyd, 44 and her sister-in-law, Stacy Boyd, 31 were found shot to death Monday morning at the Leedey Ambulance Barn.
According to investigators, Angel was an EMT for Leedey.
Authorities said Angel’s husband, Mitchell Boyd, found the victims at the ambulance barn. He told investigators he and Angel were scheduled to have a talk with Stacy and her live-in boyfriend Tye Sechrist that morning, but no one showed up.
Mitchell said he called both Angel and Stacy and went to the barn after neither answered.
OSBI said Sechrist was arrested shortly after 7 a.m. at the home he shared with Stacy, after calling authorities to turn himself in.
Sechrist was booked into the Dewey County Jail on two complains of murder in the first-degree.
