Latimer Co. Deputies: All 4 Inmates Caught After Attacking Jailer, Escaping Custody

The Latimer County Sheriff's Office says the last remaining inmate has been caught after he and three others escaped Monday night.

An investigator told News On 6 that James Kyle Statham and three other men overpowered the jailer, stole his keys, and then escaped from the Latimer County Jail in Wilburton Monday night. Several agencies joined together for the manhunt and officers found three of the men, Devin Derryberry, Oran Bloxam, and Jeff Smith, within two miles of the jail late Monday night. Statham was caught and taken into custody Tuesday just after noon. The Department of Corrections hound unit played a large role in finding the men.

The jailer involved in the altercation did not need medical treatment.
