Oklahoma City Offers Clarification On Warning Sirens

Multiple News 9 viewers said the tornado sirens in their area did not go off during the storm Wednesday morning.

Oklahoma City officials said the sirens are meant to alert people who are outdoors of the storm, not wake up residents.

Experts recommend having multiple ways to receive severe weather alerts, including at least one loud enough to hear while you're sleeping.
