State Lawmakers Release Proposal For Oklahoma Congressional District's

State lawmakers released their proposal for the state's congressional districts for the next decade.

TULSA, Oklahoma -

State lawmakers released their proposal for the state's congressional districts for the next decade.

In the most substantial change, the Fifth District would now favor Republicans with the addition of Lincoln and parts of Logan counties and a reduction in the amount of Oklahoma City it contains.

In Green Country, Washington and parts of Wagoner counties would move to the Second District while Sapulpa moves into the First District with Tulsa.

The legislature must vote on and the governor must approve the approved changes before they would go into effect next year.
