Rogers Co. Man, Accused Of Assaulting Step-Daughter; Wife, Mother-In-Law Also Arrested

Rogers County Deputies arrest a man who they say abused his step-daughter.

Deputies say Eric Ashley threw the girl against a wall, grabbed her neck, and hit her yesterday afternoon. Deputies say they found out about the crime because the victim went to a neighbor and told her she feared for her life.

They say she is now in the custody of the Department of Human Services. Later that day, deputies also arrested Ashley's wife, Samantha Manning, because they say she told Ashley to take her children to another location so DHS could not get to them.

Ashley's mother, Connie Tallant, was also arrested for lying to officers about witnessing the abuse, and for not stepping in to stop it.
