Three months after a Midwest City man was mysteriously shot and killed, the search for those responsible continues. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is offering a $10,000 reward for information.
The death happened near Harrah.
The unusual case was initially called in as a motorcycle crash. When the victim arrived at the hospital, doctors realized he had been shot.
In September, 33-year-old Daniel Aaron was in this area of Highway 62 and 3300 Road near Harrah.
“He was out riding motorcycles in September with a friend when his bike crashed,” said OSBI spokeswoman Brook Arbeitman.
The former Marine was rushed to the hospital and doctors made an unexpected discovery.
“During the time of his evaluation by medical staff, it was determined he had a gunshot wound,” said Arbeitman.
Now, the OSBI is trying to figure out who shot him and why.
That's something Aaron's family also wants to know.
“It's been a few months and they're still trying to understand what happened and they are having a hard time,” said Arbeitman.
Agents are now turning to the public for clues.
“Anybody who might have in the area, anybody that drove by, anyone who saw Daniel Aaron riding his bike that day. This is one of those cases where the public can truly help us out, it certainly won’t bring him back to his family but if justice can be served, that would be outstanding,” said Arbeitman.
The day of the shooting investigators said at least two other motorcyclists were riding nearby, wearing black jackets with white lettering.
