Oklahoma City Police say a man is now in custody after a long standoff Saturday night.

The standoff started around 8 p.m. when Derrick Jones barricaded himself inside a home near Northwest 20th and Villa. Police say Jones tried to start fires inside the house and threatened to burn it down. His family was at the scene and said Jones suffered from mental health problems.

Police say Jones was the only person inside the house but officers had to evacuate residents who were living in the triplex. The hours-long standoff finally ended after early Sunday morning without injury.

Officers say the person who owns the home is out of town.

This is a developing story.
