Update: Woman Identified In Crash Near Kilpatrick Turnpike

One person is dead after a crash happened near the Kilpatrick Turnpike and the Broadway Extension.

Police said a woman was killed in the crash Monday.

Police say the woman was attempting to cross the road when she was struck.

All northbound traffic on Broadway Extension and the Kilpatrick on-ramp is closed. Traffic is being diverted at Hefner Road.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
