If you're sick, you're advised to go get a test, but professionals administering the tests are also being affected by the highly transmittable Omicron variant.

"Right now, we are running six stations, but you can run up to nine, and it depends on how you want to run it," said Phillip Maytubby, the Deputy CEO of OCCHD.

The Oklahoma City County Health Department has now opened another testing site for the public near Northeast 63rd and Bryant.

This is just one of the locations where people can pull up to get a PCR test.

The county was able to test over 500 people on Monday.

The number of tests per day relies on how many people are available and healthy to oversee them.

"It's that way in every sector because so many people are sick with COVID-19 or they've got another respiratory disease right now. That it is hard to keep things up and running," said Maytubby.

They say the wait at this testing site is about 30 minutes, which isn’t long, but they needed to open it because there are too many people going to the swamped ERs around the county asking for a test.

Right now, we are seeing many hospital workers being sick from Omicron.

Just at SSM health, they had 239 employees call off work due to Covid-19.
