A man arrested in connection with a deadly road rage incident on New Year's Day 2022 killed a person in 2021, according to court records.

Scott Brown shot and killed a man in July 2021 in what the Oklahoma County District Attorney eventually ruled as self-defense. Brown now stands accused of murder in another incident.

Just 15 minutes into the new year, Jonathan Camren was shot dead.

“I didn't believe it. It didn’t seem real at first. He's always been that person that's, like, invincible. He was always that person to everyone,” said friend Wyatt Palimono.

“Couple of drivers got into some type of altercation resulting in one person being shot to death,” said Oklahoma City MSgt Gary Knight.

According to court records, Scott Brown was in his pickup with passenger Jonathan Camren, when they got out of their vehicle and confronted the driver and passenger in another vehicle. Police said Brown pulled out a gun and Camren ordered him to shoot. The passenger in the other vehicle returned fire, killing Camren. Both the passenger and Brown were arrested on suspicion of murder.

Brown's bond was denied. He remains in the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
