Oklahoma City firefighters rescued a woman from a house fire on the city’s southeast side.
The fire was located near Southeast 44th Street and Triple X Road.
Fire crews removed the woman from the fire and began administering CPR.
She was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.
Darrell Little, acting battalion chief for Oklahoma City Fire says the first crews on the scene battled heavy flames in the front of the house.
"Most of the fire was contained towards the front of the structure where they had access."
The second crew began searching inside the house.
"They quickly located an adult female inside the structure," Little said. "And was able to get her out and get patient care."
Scanners say firefighters pulled the victim from the back door of the house and administered CPR immediately.
Fire officials say crews removed two cats from the burning structure that did not make it.
The main body of fire was in the front porch area of the home with smoke damage throughout the structure. The flame spread and extended into the roof causing a partial roof collapse.
Oklahoma City Fire and Police are currently investigating the cause of this fire.
