Oklahoma City Police Confirm 1 Killed In Fire In NE OKC

Firefighters responded to a house fire in the 2100 block of NE 20th Street just after 9 p.m. Tuesday night.

Oklahoma City police confirmed Jan. 28 that one person was killed in the fire.

A neighbor, who tried to help the victim, was also transported to a local hospital for smoke inhalation.

OCFD confirms the fire appears to be intentional and they are not looking for a suspect.

It's believed the victim started the fire to take their own life.

The neighbor is currently recovering from smoke inhalation. 

The investigation is still ongoing.
