A spring-like day is underway! Look for highs in the 70s and even 80s on Wednesday. Very windy!
Wednesday night's storms fire out west and will spread across the state into the early morning hours. Storms will be capable of heavy rain, up to golf ball size hail, and winds to 65 mph.
There is a low tornado threat in southern Oklahoma overnight. Storms approach the Oklahoma City metro between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. Behind the storms, arctic air surges in. This will cause the precipitation to change over to ice, sleet, and snow.
Snow chances go up in OKC from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday. This will be a major winter storm for northern OK where blowing and drifting snow is likely.
Our team of trackers will be out and will bring updates statewide through the entire event.
