'Route 66 Road Fest' To Commemorate Historic Highway's Upcoming Centennial

Tickets are now available for a festival that will celebrate Route 66 as part of the lead-up to the historic highway's centennial.

AAA's "Route 66 Road Fest" will take place in June and events will be held in Oklahoma City and then in Tulsa.

The event will feature hundreds of classic cars, as well as exhibits, activities, food and live music.

AAA says because Oklahoma has more miles of the Mother Road than any other state, it is the perfect place to host the festival.

The celebrations kick off a five-year countdown to the highway's 100th anniversary in 2026.
