As spring approaches, you may be looking for ways to spruce up your home.
The Greater Tulsa Home and Garden Show kicks off Thursday morning and vendors are setting up at Expo Square.
From outdoors to indoors to every room in the house, vendors are getting ready for four days of shopping ahead, plus some live entertainment. The event is hosted by the Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa. The floor of Expo Square is covered with 375 vendors.
"It's great for the community. Most of these vendors are local and so you can come and shop within the community and support Tulsa while doing so,” said event co-chair Nikki Pauly.
You can also enjoy entertainment, like Master Chef Shaun O’Neale on the cooking stage, and over on the gardening stage, you’ll find “The Gardener Guy,” Paul James.
There's a DIY section where you can learn how to make things on your own.
If you want to find things for your kitchen, head to the Made in Oklahoma section for goods like salsa, honey, and jam. Pauly says planning starts months in advance. She says the show takes a week to set up with help from more than 150 volunteers.
"Everything for outdoors; we've got your outdoor landscaping pools, spas, pergolas, stuff for the kiddos, your playground equipment. And moving indoors, we have all the vendors for flooring and windows and refinishing cabinets, things of that nature, so a lot under one roof this weekend,” Pauly said.
The show starts on Thursday at 10 a.m. and goes on until Sunday evening.
Tickets are $10 for adults and kids 12 and under get in free.
