The food company Nestle says it's stepping up its production of Gerber baby formula amidst the national shortage.
The Swedish company says it will fly-in shipments from its plants in Switzerland.
Officials say they will specifically import two brands of hypoallergenic milk for babies intolerant to cow milk protein.
The news outlet Reuters is reporting the British company Rickitt Benckiser is boosting its production of baby formula by 30 percent and plans to make more frequent deliveries to the U.S.
