A Westmoore High School student was killed in a southwest Oklahoma City crash Thursday afternoon, police said.
The student was on a motorcycle that collided with an SUV just before 12:30 p.m. near Southwest 107th Street and Western Avenue, according to OCPD Lt. Trevor Taylor.
Taylor said that the motorcyclist was northbound on Western when the SUV pulled out from a private driveway from the east side of Western, into the student's path. The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, died at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing, police said.
Western Avenue in this area is expected to be closed until late Thursday afternoon.
The driver of the SUV was uninjured, police said.
