The Mid-Del school district fired a teacher who was charged in Oklahoma County for having an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old Midwest City High School student.

The former middle school teacher was accused of sending the teenager nude photos and videos through Snapchat. The victim told authorities 28-year-old Ivy Reneau even sent him money on several occasions.

Reneau, the former teacher and Mid-Del assistant soccer coach, is at the center of the investigation.

According to court documents the high school victim told Midwest City police, he met Reneau at the Rose State soccer fields where they both practiced. The student said the friendship, that started in April, quickly turned flirty and then illegal.

During an interview, Reneau told investigators she sent the student a friend request on Snapchat because she heard the teen liked her. Reneau admitted to sending him three to four pictures of herself and an inappropriate video through the social media app.

Reneau denied having a physical or sexual relationship with the student. The teen also confirmed the relationship did not go past the phone communication.

The former teacher told investigators the relationship turned into extortion when she would not meet up with student. She claimed the teen threatened to expose her if she did not send him money.

The victim showed investigators where three separate payments were sent to him through Cash App totaling $120.

After hearing statements and searching phones, investigators turned over the evidence to Oklahoma County prosecutors. They charged Reneau with one count of using technology to send explicit communication to a minor.

A judge recently ordered Reneau to not have any contact with the victim and set her bond at $10,000.
