We’re learning more about one of the doctors who lost her life in the Saint Francis Hospital shooting in Tulsa on Wednesday.
Dr. Stephanie Husen graduated from Ponca City High School in 1992.
The 48-year-old was a sports and internal medicine specialist at Saint Francis.
Across the state, people are sharing just how special she was.
A friend, Amy Young, shared on Facebook:
“She was a beautiful, bright, hilarious, sweet and precious light in this world who healed and gave so much of herself to those around her.”
“The world won’t be the same without our sweet Stephanie.”
The Orange Theory Fitness Midtown Tulsa where she worked out shared:
“Stephanie was kind-hearted, always smiling and an encouraging friend to others. Her energy and spirit will be missed for all of us that were lucky enough to be in her life.
Dr. Stephanie Husen touched lives across Oklahoma.
She went to OSU, and OU…one friend saying on Twitter she was a kind soul, and she was a Sooner!
Ponca City Public Schools shared in a statement they are ‘grieving’ her loss.
Dr. Husen was helping plan her 30-year class reunion. A member of the class, Stacey Smith, shared in a Facebook post they are still planning to have the reunion, saying “her parents suggested that we celebrate her and the town she loved so much.”
That 30-year class reunion is this weekend.
Amanda Glenn, William Love and Preston Phillips were the other victims.
