Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) Troopers said a 57-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of a Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) crash in Pontotoc County Friday evening.

The OHP said Dennis Weber died after the UTV he was driving fell off a bridge and trapped him under the water for an unknown amount of time.

According to the OHP, Weber was driving a 2009 Yamaha UTV on private property near Country Road 1550 just south of Ada, Oklahoma.

Troopers said he drove over a narrow wooden bridge and his vehicle was too large, which caused it to fall approximately 10 feet into the creek.

Weber was pinned underwater until being freed by first responders when they arrived on the scene. Medical personnel declared Weber dead at the scene.

The OHP said this crash is still under investigation.
