Ed. Sec. Speaks Out On Report Showing Misuse Of COVID-19 Relief Funds

Education Secretary Ryan Walters spoke out on Saturday over an investigation showing COVID-19 relief dollars were misused.

The Oklahoma Watch and Frontier found last month that $8 million was given to Oklahoma families with no oversight.

The money was given through a digital wallet program and meant for school supplies.

But many families used it for gaming consoles, televisions and Christmas trees.

Walters had connected the state with the company that distributed the funds.

House Democrats called on the governor to fire Walters.

The governor's office said he had no plans for that.
