Authorities dropped charges for a man accused of prostitution and assault at a former Oklahoma City massage parlor.

Originally, the Oklahoma County District Attorney's office filed charges against Alonzo Fields back in 2021 for allegedly paying for a type of massage.

Police said the specific massage, called a "Nuru massage" per court papers, was code for a type of sex act.

Fields, who at the time was a 30-year-old Oklahoma City police officer, was fired after police chief Wade Gourley found 12 allegations against him.

The prostitution charge, as well as the assault and battery charge, were considered misdemeanor crimes.

The massage parlor near Southwest 59th Street and South Western Avenue where the incident allegedly occurred has since closed.
