Logan County deputies had an early start Thursday after an attempted traffic stop turns into a cross-county chase.
Logan County sheriff Damon Devereaux said the chase spanned a dozen miles and hit speeds well over 100 miles per hour. The pursuit ended with a bike in pieces and a large amount of meth found nearby.

It began near Sooner Road and South Division Street in Guthrie when a Logan County deputy spotted the motorcycle and found the driver had an assault with a deadly weapon warrant stemming from March 2021.
Sheriff Devereaux said two people were on the bike. When the deputy got closer to bike the driver, identified as Dylan Jackson, may have used another weapon.
"She could see what appeared to be somebody turning around," Devereaux said.
Then, the deputy saw sparks fly in front of her squad car.
"(When) Bullets hit the pavement, they'll spark,” Devereaux said. “They'll ricochet off the pavement and leave a spray of sparks, if you will, and that's what she was observing. She changed lanes to get out of the gunfire."
The bulk of the chase happened on Interstate 35 headed towards Edmond. Jackson's speed clocked in at around 120 miles per hour.
Neither he nor the woman on the back wore protective gear. It's not clear if the passenger was a willing participant.
"I don't know that she made any attempts [to stop the chase] and, depending on speed and stuff like that, it's hard to step off of a motorcycle," Devereaux said.
Then, Jackson tried to get off I-35 at 15th Street in Edmond.
"The motorcycle basically couldn't make the turn and just drove straight off the side of the off ramp." Sheriff Devereaux said. “You could tell they were ejected from the bike."
The pair was taken to an area hospital. Jackson has since been released and is in police custody. The passenger has a broken arm, leg and shoulder injuries.
Deputies also found a large amount of meth at the crash, but they don't have a weight yet.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Jackson seemed impaired, as well. Deputies arrested Jackson on felony eluding.
