People in parts of south Oklahoma City are without water Wednesday morning due to a water line break, according to the Oklahoma City Utilities Department.
City crews said they are working to fix a line coming from Lake Stanley Draper.
The outage is currently impacting parts of the city south of Interstate 40.
The department said water should be turned back on between 10:45 a.m. and 2:45 pm.
Many residents and businesses felt the impact overnight including the Waffle House off of Southwest 59th and I-44. A Waffle House staff member spoke to News 9 and said the start to the morning was rough.
“It put a slow start to our day and was hard to get business up and running," said the staff member.
The Amazon plant near the Will Rogers Airport was without water throughout the night. Staff members from Waffle House off of I-44 told News 9 that Amazon employees stopped in for breakfast because they were sent home for the day or until the system is up and running again.
The City of Yukon has announced that they will be shutting down the Splash Pad at Sun Rise Park to conserve water until the issue is resolved.
The department estimates that it will take four to eight hours to repressurize the system and restore full service.
At around 1 a.m., the transmission line coming out of the plant broke causing that low water pressure, according to the Oklahoma Utilities Department.
The department said they have an emergency contractor making repairs.
They have been restoring pressure since the line was isolated at 4 a.m., according to the department.
This is a developing story, stay with News 9 for the latest updates.
