Most Of Hitchcock Wildfire Still Uncontained, Authorities Say

A Hitchcock wildfire, which began burning last week, is only 30 percent contained as of Monday morning.

Authorities also told News 9 the wildfire sent a firefighter to the hospital.

First responders said the firefighter suffered a heat-related illness and overexertion.

The National Guard has been called in to help fight the flames from the air.

The fire has already burned more than 10,000 acres so far.
