Norman PD: 1 Dead After Being Hit By Train

One person is dead after being hit by a train Sunday afternoon, Norman police confirm.

Police responded to the scene near the railroad crossing at Indian Hills Street.

The Norman Police Department, Norman Fire Department and EMSSTAT personnel responded to the scene.

First responders on the scene found the victim dead on the tracks.

Police said the crossings at Franklin Road and Indian Hills Street are expected to remain closed for a few hours.

The investigation is ongoing.
