Several companies and organizations around Green Country are stepping up to help students and teachers with school supplies as they begin to return to the classroom.

For students in Sand Springs, any student who qualifies for free lunch can get school supplies and a backpack thanks to Sand Springs Community Services. These students will also get a $40 clothing voucher to use at Walmart.

The supplies and vouchers can be picked up starting at 10 a.m. on Monday morning. The event continues through Wednesday.

For teachers in Sapulpa, OG&E is donating supplies so they don’t have to pay out of pocket for them. This includes binders, paper and scissors.

Teachers can pick them up on Monday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sapulpa High School.

Restore Hope Ministries is also continuing to donate boxes of supplies to teachers. This week they’ll be available at their main location off Charles Page Boulevard starting at 9 a.m. for teachers in districts including Tulsa, Sand Springs, Jenks and Collinsville

The Graves McLain law firm is also planning to load 2,000 backpacks full of supplies for seven Tulsa schools.
