An investigation is underway after police say someone set fire to playground equipment at a Tulsa Park.

Emergency crews were called to Zeigler Park near Charles Page Boulevard and 41st West Avenue on Friday morning around 4 a.m.

The park, called "Fort JD Smith," suffered damage in the early-morning blaze.

According to firefighters, crews at a fire station located right next to the park got a call about the fire and came outside and saw the flames.

Crews say they were able to quickly put the fire out quickly, but say about 25% of the playground has been destroyed.

Firefighters have the equipment taped off to keep the public away.

The Tulsa Fire Marshal is now investigating the blaze.
