Twenty-five years after a man was found murdered, his identity and killer remain a mystery.
In 1997, the victim's remains were discovered in a Logan County field.
While only the victim's skeletal remains were found, investigators said John Doe was shot in the head and neither of his hands were found with his body.
For 25 years, investigators have been working to identify the human remains.
In 1997, a forensic sculptor created a clay bust in hopes of putting a face to the victim that was found dumped in a Logan County field near Simpson Road and Bryant.
Believed to be Hispanic, Native American, or Asian, the victim had straight black hair, was about 5-foot-six, 19 to 23 years-old, and was wearing Wrangler blue jeans, and a gold and silver quartz watch.
A child's size 4, striped sleeveless shirt was also found nearby.
He was also wearing a camo United Roofing baseball cap with phone number 272-0360.
Updated forensic sketches created in 2021 show what the victim may have looked like with different hair styles.
While his remains were found in this field, investigators believe John Doe was murdered elsewhere, and due to the condition of his remains, believe he was killed one to two years before they were discovered.
The victim's remains were found in December of 1997.
