OKC Thunder's Shai-Gilgeous Alexander Gifts OKC Kids Converse, Game Tickets

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander hosted youth from Poetry Chill OKC Kids after-school program for a sneaker customizing workshop with a local artist.

Each student received a fresh pair of Converse sneakers in their size and sketched, designed and painted their new sneakers to create a one-of-a-kind custom pair of kicks.  

The students in the workshop will also attend the Monday, Dec. 19 Thunder game against Portland.  

The event is part of the Thunder’s 15th season of Holiday Assist. This year’s Holiday Assist is the largest slate of holiday giving events in Thunder history and includes more than two dozen community engagements to brighten the spirits of hundreds of Oklahomans during the holidays.
