Sassy Mama is in the kitchen cooking some dishes perfect for the holiday season. In Wednesday's segment, Sassy shows the News 9 team how to make a homemade Fireball caramel sauce.
Ingredients:
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla paste
- 2-5 tablespoons Fireball Whiskey
Directions:
- In a medium size sauce, pan, melt the butter and brown sugar together.
- Stir in the corn syrup and sweetened condensed milk.
- Continue to mix together and cook for 5 to 7 minutes or until the caramel sauce begins to thicken.
- Remove from the heat.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons to 5 tablespoons of fireball whiskey and vanilla.
- pour the caramel sauce into clean mason jars.
- Wipe the edges of the jar and place the lid and ring on tight.
- This will last up to three weeks in the refrigerator.
