Suspect In Custody Following Deadly Hit And Run In NW OKC

The suspect in connection to a deadly hit and run that happened Wednesday evening has turned themselves into authorities, according to Oklahoma City Police.

Police said a worker was run over and killed at a construction site for an apartment complex near Northwest 122nd Street and North Pennsylvania Avenue.

The driver involved voluntarily arrived to one of the briefing stations where they were ultimately arrested and booked into jail on the complaint of leaving the scene of a fatality accident, Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Dillon Quirk said.

The construction company that was working on the job site of the deadly crash released the following statement to News 9:

We are saddened by this incident and have temporarily halted construction while the local authorities complete their investigation.
