A stop for gas at a northwest Oklahoma City convenience store on Christmas Day sent a man to the hospital with a gunshot injury.

Oklahoma City Police are asking potential witnesses to the shooting to step forward for the investigation.

Investigators released photos of people, they said on Wednesday, who were witnesses to the unsolved shooting that played out in a 7-Eleven parking lot near the Northwest Expressway and Independence Avenue.

“We’ve also released a picture of their vehicle on social media,” Sgt. Dillon Quirk with the Oklahoma City Police Department said. “It’s a newer model Nissan Rouge.”

Police think the witnesses have crucial information about the gun attack.

“We’re looking to identify a suspect in this case,” Quirk said.

The victim's girlfriend told police he was pumping gas when she heard one gunshot.

The victim was shot once in the leg and was allegedly unarmed.

The 20-year-old victim’s girlfriend drove him to an Integris Community Hospital near the Northwest Expressway and Council Road.

According to the report, the girlfriend told officers she did not see anyone leave the scene and did not know why someone would harm her boyfriend.

As police interviewed the victim and his girlfriend at the hospital, investigators went to the 7-Eleven to check security video.

They noted the victim was seen on camera arguing with someone in a silver-colored SUV in the parking lot.

The victim's girlfriend could not identify the car in the video. However, police called for the witnesses in the photos to help them identify the suspect.

“We want help from these possible persons that witnessed a suspect vehicle, maybe who actually fired shots,” Quirk said.

If anyone recognizes the car or witnesses in the photos, contact Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300.
