Fatal Shooting Victim Found Between 2 Cars At SW Oklahoma City Apartment Complex

Police are investigating a deadly shooting on the southwest side of the city. The victim's body was discovered Saturday night in the parking lot of an apartment complex near Southwest 89th and Drexel Ave.

Police at the scene did not have any details about the victim and said no arrests have been made. Investigators are asking the public to come forward if they witnessed anything.

The Drexel Flats apartment complex in southwest Oklahoma City was turned into a crime scene.

“At 9:30 this evening officers responded to the apartments here,” said Lt. Jeff Cooper, Oklahoma City Police Department.

Residents led officers to a body in the parking lot.

“When they arrived, they found a subject lying in between two cars that had been shot and killed,” said Cooper.

Police did not have any witnesses to the shooting and no description of a suspect. Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators stayed at the scene into the overnight hours searching for answers.

“At this time the investigation is just beginning,” said Cooper.
