The Guinness World Record for the World's Largest Pizza Party is now held here in Tulsa.
Andolini's Pizza and World Pizza Champions partnered with the University of Tulsa to make it happen.
More than 3,000 people participated in the Guinness World record attempt.
The previous record was held in Rome with 1,046 people. The new record more than tripled that with 3,357 people.
Andolini's Worldwide owner Mike Bausch says this was eight months in the making.
"We said what can we do on a grandest stage of them all. Nothing is more grand than Guinness and nothing is more near a dear to us than Make-A-Wish,” Bausch said.
The record-breaking party also raised more than $40,000 for Make-A-Wish.
Ella Stegman says the whole event was a surprise for her and was part of a wish the organization is continuing to put together.
"Its been a dream since I was a kid I’m like, ‘You know what? I’m going to do this,’ and I never thought it would come true, but here I am,” Stegman said.
Guinness World Record's Official Adjudicator Michael Empric says another attempt was made in L.A. just a few days ago, but that attempt was unsuccessful.
"I've seen high highs and low lows. Today went perfectly, though. They did everything right. So, I'm glad it could be successful,” Empric said.
Andolini's Worldwide will display the World Record plaque at their headquarters in Tulsa.
