3 OKC Council Incumbents Keep Seats

As Oklahoma’s elections draw to a close, a few representatives are keeping their titles for the next few years. Councilmen James Cooper, JoBeth Hamon and Mark Stonecipher will all be returning for another term.

As Oklahoma’s elections draw to a close, a few representatives are keeping their titles for the next few years. Councilmen James Cooper, JoBeth Hamon and Mark Stonecipher will all be returning for another term.

Ward 2 incumbent James Cooper won with 76.9% of the vote. His opponents were Weston Storey, with 16.7%, and Alexander Deshazo with 6.5%.

Ward 6 incumbent JoBeth Hamon will also keep her seat after defeating her opponent, Marek Cornett, 54.4% to 45.6%.

Ward 8 incumbent, Mark Stonecipher, received 53.1% of the vote. His opponents split the other half of the vote; Amy Warne with 37.2% and Frank Urbanic with 9.7%.
