Man Arrested On Arson Complaint In Connection To NE OKC Apartment Fire

A man has been arrested on an arson complaint after an apartment fire that happened Saturday evening in northeast Oklahoma City, according to the Oklahoma City Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to the scene at around 10:52 p.m. near East Wilshire Boulevard and North Kelley Avenue.

Firefighters said they investigated the apartment and found multiple fires set in different areas of the apartment unit. 

All the fires were small and contained, according to firefighters.

Chandon Wright admitted to setting the fires after investigators questioned him.

Wright said he set the fires to try and kill snakes in the wall, and he also admitted that he knew setting the fire was wrong.

Wright was arrested on the complaint of first-degree arson.
