Volunteers From Norman Church Helping Recovery Efforts

Volunteers in Norman are getting together to help others recover from Sunday night's storms.

Members at CrossPointe Church in Norman loaded a truck full of supplies and set out to help clean up.

"These are all our friends and neighbors, it could have been us," CrossPointe Church worship and arts pastor said. "We didn't get damage up there so it's just really important to try to help people out if we can."

The volunteers drove through the East Ridge neighborhood Monday passing out water bottles.

The congregation will also open their doors Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for anyone needing a meal.
