News 9 spoke to the owner of the Pink Parrot on the phone, and he said he plans to close his doors permanently.

He told News 9 he can't see something like that happen and not make a change.

“One suspect produced a knife and stabbed multiple people that he was fighting with,” Capt. Valerie Littlejohn with the Oklahoma City Police Department said.

Two people were taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police said the knife wielding suspect is 18-year-old Brandon Johnson.

The ABLE commission said the 18-year-old shouldn't even have been allowed inside.

“They're obviously required to make sure no one under the age of 21 is on the premise and that didn't take place and that's why they were issued citations,” Brandon Clabes with the ABLE Commission said.

Clabes said they always work hand in hand with Oklahoma City police to address issues like this. He said the nightclub is facing 4 counts of allowing a person under 21 in the designated bar area and one count of permitting fighting on the licensed premise. Now the two parties will have to meet to come to a plea agreement.

“Most likely in these situations I would suspect that it will either be the license being suspended or voluntarily surrendered,” Clabes said.

Clabes said legally right now the club could open for customers. If their license is suspended, the owner can reapply for a license.

“I understand the owner has been very cooperative. In fact, I think this incident is somewhat upsetting to him,” Clabes said.

This week, Oklahoma City council members passed an emergency curfew for Bricktown. Anyone under the age of 18 will no longer be allowed to stay in the district past 9 p.m., unless with a parent or guardian.

“I think that's going to be an added incentive to help kind of eliminate some of these issues,” Clabes said.

“The ABLE commission said as of right now the owner hasn't started to process of surrendering his license,” Clabes said.
