Man Arrested In Pennsylvania For Deadly OKC Midtown Shooting

A third arrest was made on Thursday in connection to a deadly New Year's Day shooting outside a Midtown bar, according to Oklahoma City Police Department officials. The U.S. Marshals Service tracked down and arrested Khalil Warren, 27, in Pennsylvania. 

Investigators noted in court documents, they gathered video and documents from Will Rogers World Airport of the suspect boarding a plane only hours after the fatal shooting at Sunset Patio Bar.

Warren was the third suspect named in court documents in connection to the murder of 22-year-old Daniel Howard. The college football player and father died after being shot multiple times outside the Midtown bar on New Year's Day. Police said there were four other victims injured when shots were fired into a crowd 20 minutes into the new year.

“It doesn’t appear that this is a random act,” said Sgt. Dillon Quirk, Oklahoma City Police Department. “This spun off of a confrontation that had begun there in the bar.”

That fight spilled into the streets outside the Midtown bar. Investigators alleged Warren pulled the trigger as he stood behind his cousin J'Coal Glover. The men then jumped in a car driven by Destiny Adams. Glover and Adams were arrested in northwest Oklahoma City in January. Adams has since been charged with accessory to murder and Glover was charged with first-degree murder. 

Warren has not been formally charged. He will be extradited to Oklahoma and then booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
